Kernel and KDE upgrade, now different cursors for apps

Since upgrading (SuSE 10.0 to SuSE 10.0.1 and KDE 3.5x) my cursor theme doesn't seem to apply to applications. "In house" SuSE applications/tools no problem, but apps such as Firefox, or xchat, etc... and the cursors change to boring black/white ones.

Any 'new' setting I should be aware of? I've looked through Control Centre to no avail.

Thanks.

/edit
I've now read that installing theme packs via Control Centre under KDE 3.5x has some issues... that its unpacked properly, but that KDE has issues with linking to the correct cursor.

Anyone heard of this? Know how to deal with it?

Have you tried to reapply your icon theme?

Apologies for not updating this thread.

I grabbed the gnome config editor, and drilled to desktop/gnome/peripherials/mouse... I wasn't able to change the value for theme, but I was able to nuke it and and create a new string key... with the value of the name of my cursor theme.

A reboot confirmed all is well.
