KDE with GDM login screen

At some point several months ago I was able to configure SuSE 10 with KDE to use the GDM default login screen (the one that has only one input field in the middle of the screen that changes function after entering data). Now I'd like to do the same thing on a second system but, for the life of me, can't remember how I did it. If anyone could provide some guidance it would be very appreciated. I vaguely remember a screen where I got to choose between GDM and KDM but that could be a hallucination or wishful thinking.

The settings for Logon Screen are found in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager.
The setting can be changed as root by editing displaymanager file with
the vi editor. You just have to change the items that enclosed in quotes and then logout. After logging out use the command gdmsetup to pick options and select a theme to use. All the settings and changes need to be done as root because of security. Or from the control panel icon YaST2 Modules and System then
/etc/syscofig edit. The YaST2 tool will show an expandable list of settings
for Display Manager and many other items. The setting you want is either the
second or third item in the list depending on what has been installed the
current system.

Thanks for the advice on the resolution of my problem. I did work it out this morning following the following chain yast/System/sysconfig Editor/Desktop/Display manager/DISPLAYMANAGER. Pretty easy when you know where to go.
Thanks again.
