kde style problem

Ive search many places for a fix for this.
I used Fedora Core 2 for a bit but was to much had to configure almost every thing manually and the FC3 came out So gave it a shot well lets just say I decided to give a different distoro a try so I tried Suse a shot and was verry impressed with the install. Did an ftp install had to tell it my net card and off it goes found everything except my monitor but found my network. So far I liked the way it was going but did not like the way it looked so i played with the themes picked a theme I liked and tried it out on a few apps every thing looked good. task bar looked great all the kde apps look awesome.

Now the problem any time I start a none kde apps it uses the suse default style scroll bars dropdwn menu and buttons and there ugly do not go well with firefox at all or any of the other app i have been using.

I though I may have got a bad install since i did ftp so I install this on a differnt system from a different mirror and am having the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this.

thank you for any help you can provide

Firefox is not a KDE app, so it doesn't necessarily look like the rest of KDE, although it can be themed to look that way. The non KDE applications that you are talking about are probably GNOME/GTK applications and to make them look similar to KDE applications, you can use an application called gtk-qt engine. Search for it on kde-look.org. It inserts a module in to the Look and FEel (or Appearance and Styles) section of Kcontrol and you can then select the option to use the KDE theme with gtk applications.
