Question KDE 3.4 no root login!?

Since my upgrade to KDE 3.4 "root logins are not allowed." I guess this is a good thing, but I don't like it.

Any ideas on how to change this?

You can change this by editing your kdmrc, its somewhere in /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm or somewhere similar.

the file to look for is called kdmrc and is located (on debian) in /etc/kde3/kdmrc. The line you should change is:

AllowRootLogin=false
to
AllowRootLogin=true
