KBitdefender Help

I downloaded KBitdefender, the front-end for Bitdefender. I have done this before in Mandriva but never in SuSe. I extracted the tar file in the home folder and then changed the properties of the "installer" file to "executable". Then I clicked on the file and the installer opened and said it wanted to install in "/usr/local". I knew that wouldn't work so as I have done before logged out and back into root and tried to install but it won't work. With Mandriva the installer takes you all the way through and installs in /usr/local. I only get the first part of the installer dialog in root. Out of root it gets to the second part where it says it wants to install in /usr/local. I tried to delete the "Kbitdefender" directory from the home file but I can't do that either. What the heck is going on? I also extracted the tar file into /usr/local and the installer still wouldn't work.

Okay, when you ran it as root some files probably got created, so they would belong to root which is why you cant delete the directory, go back into it as root and then you can delete it.

Are you using the SuSE rpms?

No, one was a tar file and the other bin. I gave up on bitdefender but I still can't delete the Kbitdefender dir from "home" I also have a flashplayer file in home I can't get rid of. Got rid of them with "File Manager". Solved.
