Kaffeine DVD play error

Hi All,

New user to Linux and tired of paying and being bogged down by WINDOWS!!!

I am trying to play DVD's on my system and have come up with following error:

<No plugin found to handle this resource.

The source cant be read. Maybe you dont have enough rights for this, or source doesnt contain data (e.g. no disc in drive). (/dev/dvd).>

I use the following config:

Kaffeine Player 0.6 (Using KDE 3.2.1) – Suse 9.1

I have also installed libxine1 1.0.1-0.pm i586, w32codec-all 20050412-0.pm.0 i386 & libdvdcss 1.2.8-1 (though this does not show on my YaST-Installation Summary for some reason).

Please help me out as I have to use Windows to play DVD's ... I am planning to make a permanent switch to Linux.

Don't use Kaffine, use Xine instead.

With SuSE 9.2, I just downloaded these three files:
1. libxine1-1.0.1cvs-050503.k6.rpm (If you have an intel chip then use i-something or other...)
2. libdvdcss-1.2.8-2.network.i386.rpm
3. xine-ui-0.99.3cvs-050503.i586.rpm

Works a treat.
