kaffeine dosn't work


I cant play any divx,win32 files with kaffeine.I HAVE isntalled the required pluginns in usr/lib/win32.Kaffeine also says that this plugins are installed,but when trying to open any of these formats,screen is black(no movie) and time of the movie on the left buttom of kaffeine goes VERY fast.(Time jumps from 1 minuit to 10 minuits then 35 etc)Any ideas?

I recommend Mplayer as a multimedia player, it is compatible with most formats and its lightweight, try that and download its codecs from their site: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/news.html

I had exactly the same problem and mplayer fixed it

finally i installed Mplayer.Really good player.Palys everything and i have no problems at all.Thnx a lot

Apart from mplayer being a nice player, your problem with kaffeine was due to a restricted version of xine that comes with SUSE (Kaffeine is a xine frontend). If you plan to use xine in the future, deinstall the xine and kaffeine packages that come with suse and install the versions from packman. http://packman.links2linux.org/?quer...&action=search
