Jin Chess for Suse 9.3

I would like to install Jin to play chess on ICC but don't know which directory to untar it in as I'm new to Linux. They don't have much help on their site at jinchess.com. They probably have all the documentation in the tar but I hate to open it in the wrong place as the directory structure here is new to me.

I thought I would look in YaST but it"s showing a bunch of Dependency Conflicts and I can't see any way of resolving them. They appear to be as a result of installing Multimedia Package #4 a couple of days ago.

Conflicts listed are in alsplayer, audacity, glame, libmad, sweep, terminatorx, and xautv4.
