I'm using a linksys 10/100 ethernet card and an 802.11 b wireless usb card. During the install of suse 10 it couldn't download the udpdates. I obviously don't know how to manualy configure the network or I'm missing a driver. Is this a common problem? Is there an easy fix?

Well, The suse 10 installer probably didn't have the necessary driver loaded for one of two reasons. Either the drives isn't on the DVD at all, or the driver wasn't detected and loaded properly. Do you know what chipset the card uses? if so we can continue. I've looked a bit further, but I can't seem to find a specific card called a "linksys 10/100". If you can get into a linux install (Possibly a liveCD distro), try issuing the command "lsusb" to see what kind of output that gives you. Please post back with either the success story or the results of both "lsusb" and "lsmod". Thanks. Hopefully , We can get this resolved.
