I think we need more information. I can, however, offer a solution to two common problems that have this symptom.
The general path to check the first is YaST --> Network Devices --> Network Card --> Traditional Method with ifup. Select your network card and click Edit --> Hostname and Name Server (button). Confirm that your name servers are correct. If they are not, deselect the "Update Name Servers and Search List via DHCP" and manually enter the addresses of your name servers.
If that looks OK or the change does not solve your problem, another thing to check is disabling IPv6. For this, use the same path except click on the "Advanced..." button instead of the "Hostname and Name Server" one. Click IPv6. Click disable IPv6. Good luck in any case.

My problem is back.Actually it was fine yesterday.I think something "resets" when I reboot and for some reason things dont go just right sometimes.
Not to sound stupid but what is my name server?Would this be "Belkin"?How do I find this info?
Off the dns topic, every time I reboot my screen resolution resets to 1280x1024.This is a little miniscule for me.How can i get it to stay at 1024x768 without having to reset every time?

DNS = domain name server. There is a description of how to determine your DNS addresses in the section entitled "What is my DNS address?" on this page: http://www.hdxzone.com/linux_install-suse.htm
You need to reset your screen parameters in YaST. Go to the Hardware --> Graphics Card and Monitor section to make that adjustment permanent. Any change you make as a user will only persist while you are logged in.

Thats better on the resolution.Thanks!
As for the nic config i have narrowed the problem down.Fact its working great today after reboot.
I can get it working by simply using Yast to look at the card repeatedly until it works??yeah I know.
The problem I think is when I look at the network card settings using yast,it runs some sort of config process at the end and this is the "hit or miss" factor. Its working great now so I'm not looking anymore until it gets slow again.
I'm really starting to like Suse. Its a nice distro.
