Installing Suse onto existing SATA RAID 0...
I want to install Suse 10 x64 to a second partition on my RAID 0. My RAID controller is onborad my mobo (VT8237 Integrated Serial ATA RAID controller). I remember being told it was a software raid pretending to be hardware (or something like that). Well WinXp is installed on it fine, but Suse only sees the 2 two drives seperately, not as one.
So I gave in and installed Suse onto a second sata drive I had. During the installation I did receive some kind of warning that Linux did not recognise something about certain types of RAIDs. But as the install went ahead without any other hitch I thought nothing of it. That was until I rebooted the system and was not able to boot into windows. Grub only showed 3 options: Suse 10, Floppy boot, and Suse 10 failsafe.
What can I do to rectify this? I dont want to give up on Linux and I certainly can't afford to buy a hardware RAID controller expansion card.
