Installing suse from 6 cd's for pc.

Hi,
I am trying to install suse 10.1 from 6 CD's for PC purchased from OSDisc.com and their tech site couldn't help me and they suggested I try this site. The PC is a extra one 5 or 6 years old with a 20 Gig hard disk, 512 meg memory running at 1050 MHz, no OS on the disk suse can have it all. When I boot with disk 1 and answer the questions it starts the install. It even shows a time to disk 2. When disk 1 is finished it reboots with no chance to insert disk 2. Leaving disk 1 in brings up the same install menu which doesn't seem to have any option for disk 2 or to continue the install.

Restart the install, do everything exactly the same.
This time, when it reboots, and says it wants disk 1. Give it disk 1.
DONT, change disks or try to guess ahead of the computer and it'll install just fine.

it should say "boot from hard drive" as the default. hit enter or let it time out and the install routine will continue

I found the problem. The hard disk is not found by the BIOS on reboot. I went into the setup and told it to look for hard disks and it found it. I then found where it was in the install and asked for disk 2. The install went just fine after that. Thanks for the suggestions. I may have a hardware problem. Bad disk or connection or system board.
