Installing Firestarter In Opensuse 10.2

Ever since Suse 10.0 [my beginning with Suse] I've had problems with NAT problems with Azureus. I've addressed this on the forums to no avail. I eventually switch to Guarddog which works but I think I'd prefer Firestarter. Neither Guarddog or Firestarter is in the repos for 9.2, 9.3, 10.1, or 10.2 that I can find. Could these and Azureus be added to repos for 10.2?

The Firestarter download page has links listed for Suse rpm's for 9.2 and 9.3 but all I get is 'file not found'. Could this be updated? The Guarddog download page is woefully out of date as well but it will install a rpm for Suse 9.1 with no problem and which which works [and which I just installed in 10.2]. I wonder if that could/should be updated?

When I try to install the Firestarter tar ball I get to this step:

./configure --sysconfdir=/etc

I get this error:

configure: creating libtool

Which I'm trying to figure out but haven't yet. Could someone help with this?

I guess I would make sure libgnome and libglade are installed and up to date. If so, what version and where are they located? You could check installed packages in YAST and see if you have them.

Good luck with this - Azureus doesn't work on my Suse 10.1 either, btw...

This person has crossposted this same question at a half-dozen other forums. They got the package installed save for some init file issues but never bothered to come back here and update their current status...which is what always happens when people crosspost. They have the time to copy/paste their question across the web but are too lazy to clean up their own mess.

Sorry I wasn't quick enough for you. I crosspost because you never know which forum will lead to answers, if this is considered bad form someone please inform me. I do keep a record of where I've posted and do go back, sooner or later, to other forums and post the solution or link to where solution is. I didn't get back to other forums last night because it was way late and elected to do so today. Didn't see the harm because at the time I hadn't received a response from any of them.

Whew. I did get Firestarter installed except for an init script suitable for Suse. The link is here:
