Installation problems

Hello, I need some help installing Suse 9,

ok so what do i do 1st? I have a computer that doesnt want to boot from the CD drive and the dumb machine has win 98 on it... what is the problem? is there any way toi install any form of linux with a computer that doesnt want to boot from the CD drive? i went intot he setup and it gives me two options to boot from. 1) hard drive and 2) diskette (reffering tot hte 3.5 floppy drive). please help,

You could use floppies to boot from. For SuSE, you can find images for such boot floppies in the folder /boot on your installation medium. They are also availlable for download from the SuSE mirrors. If you have windows, you may use rawwrite to create those floppies. You can find this also on SuSE servers in the folder dosutils.

I got Redhat 9 up and runnign now. now to figure out what I have on it and what software/programmign lanugages to learn and use
