in suse 10.1 my printer (hp4215) keeps getting lost on reboot

In 10(64) printer worked fine I just installed 10.1(64)and now I must go into yast and reset it after each boot. I have set it up as default. The printer in an hp office jet all in one Model 4215. It will not print without resetting yast in any program and from firefox it instantly kills firefox and puts me back on the desktop. I am a newbie so please make suggestions very simple.
thanks stan
