I need a good guide!

Hallo guys, i am new here even if i am a member a year about. Anyway, the truth is that since i started to work with linux distros i never asked for help before.

Anyway my prob is very simple. All i want is someone to suggest me a good tutorial, how to, lfs guide or something else for suse 10.1 and for freeBSD 6.1 Desktop.I want to learn for the distro, how is working, for the packages( which of them are important and which are not), about X and others. But not with many pages, because i don't have so much time.

See there are too many items out there and i can't start reading everything to see who's good and who's not.

So i wondered maybe anyone who have read some guides and he likes them he can suggest those to me too.Don't bother with my thread. Reply to me only if you have something in your mind.

I am on a quick search on the internet right now to find something on my self.

Thanks a lot fellas, Regards.

Someone told me about the RUTE site. I don't know if it's specific to your distros, but I love it. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll try to specify the link. (I'm on new install so lost my bookmarks, but not hard to replace them.)

RUTE has many pages, but it's hyperlinked, with good Table of Contents. So you can zero in on what you're looking for reasonably quickly. :)
