I moved to opensuse from mandriva.

and I wonder if suse have as many programs in yast as mandriva do have in urpmi. Is it just that I use 10.2 and its not yet compiled? Im looking for normalized, transcode, qcad, fish fillets(a nice game) etc.

I am impressed by suse.

I would suggest that you look into Smart, available from guru's rpm site...http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/
Every package that I have ever nedded has been availible trough that program. And remember to take smart-beta as you are using 10.2. If you run into any difficulties, just ask and I for one will gladly help

Good luck, I find smart superior to yast and here are a couple of pages to help you get started. Remember that any installation source for yast can be used by smart as well http://susewiki.org/index.php?title=...ional_channels
