I just want to save files! (SuSE 9.1 Personal)

I finished fixing my SuSE 9.1 Personal by reinstalling it.
It can update things just fine... it can surf the internet (like I am doing now... ) just fine....
I want to save some themes and stuff and I don't have sufficient read/write privileges.

By default, SuSE automatically hotplugs new devices and sets it all up. PROBLEM....
If I am going to use my computer, HOW can save files and move files around??

here is my fstab:
Code:
/dev/hda6 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hda1 /windows/C ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=utf8 0 0
/dev/hdb1 /windows/D ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=utf8 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /windows/E vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/hda5 swap swap pri=42 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/dvdrecorder /media/dvdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
I need to know how to chmod and chown. I have no idea how to do that.

Entering the filesystem in SuperUser mode and changing privileges does NOTHING.

Did you try searching the forums or googling? You should have no problems finding what you're looking for
try http://www.linuxlookup.com/html/guides/chmod-chown.html

I suspect you are trying to chmod or chown your ntfs partitions. This is not currently supported. chmod and chown will work just fine on your reiserfs partition. Based on the umask entry in your fstab, it looks like the vfat partition is set up to be writable. If you are logged in as a normal user they should be able to save files to their home directory. This is typically something like /home/username.
