Hello! If you want to change the timeout before it automatically boots, do the following:
Go to Yast, click on the system on the left, then click on boot loader in the right window. Then, click on the boot loader installation tab, then click boot loader options. at the bottom, you can change the timeout, the time it takes before it boots the default. I believe there is also a setting for the menu interface, where you can set a password to enter. Click ok. Then, back at the boot loader settings window, click on the option you want as default, and click the tab "set as default."
Hope that helps some.

You should try to find rpm packages of the software. They will put everything into place automatically. For winamp, I don't know, but for superkaramba there are SUSE rpms available. Have a look at rpmseek.com!

Do you know XMMS? It's very similar to Winamp.

Linux has very good media players, some which are much better than Winamp for Linux. You have plenty to choose from e.g. Amarok, XMMS, BMPx, Rhythmbox, Banshee etc. As for installing software and media stuff, take a look at this thread.

To install Superkaramba on 10.2, just install package kdeutils3-extra from Yast
