Presuming dvds are cheap in your part of the world, why not
1. Mount your dvd.
2. Copy the iso files to disk, ideally it's own partition where you run grub. Make your changes.
3. Run grub.
4. Make an iso of your new set of files.
5. Discover you have wasted a dvd by trying to boot off it .
6. Fix that, etc. . .

Extract the .iso contents to a new directory, make your changes, then recreate your .iso from that directories contents.

mkdir /mnt/iso
mount -o loop -t iso9660 /bootcd.iso /mnt/iso
mkdir /tmp/iso
cp -R /mnt/* /tmp/iso/
cp -R /software/Linux/OpenopenSUSE-Leap-15.0-DVD-x86_64/boot/ /tmp/iso/ ..... this was the step I was searching for!

tmp/iso/boot/x86_64/loader/isolinux.cfg ... EDIT

Now make ISO:

mkisofs -l -iso-level 4 -o /S/dxf/mph/l.iso -b boot/x86_64/loader/isolinux.bin -c boot/x86_64/loader/ -no-emul-boot -boot-info-table .

Thank you for your help!
