How to check if I have OpenGL support? SUSE 9.2

I've been hooked on this game SuperTux, and it says that in the opengl option that its not supported, but on my laptop, the option is available and so is it on my other computer. I dont know if the version I have is odd cause it came with Suse, and they didnt make the openGL availalbe or if I dont have openGL support installed. How do I check to see if i have openGl support? I have an nvidia card, and used yast to install the nvidia drivers. I get the nvidia splash screen at boot, and my games such as Doom3 and UT2004 work.

I think that means that OpenGL support is not yet available is SuperTux yet, but it's in the menu because it might be added in future versions. (Runs off to search Google).

Yep, according to the Supertux homepage then OpenGL support is only available in the latest version.

A quick & easy test is to run glxgears
It renders a few spinning gears and gives you some frame rate statistics.
If the gears appear, then you've got open gl :)
But this only tells you if opengl is running on your distro, it doesn't tell you if a particular game is going to run opengl properly
