How to change grub to read /hda1 rather than /hda3


hi there, after installing suse i have grub reading /dev/hda3 /boot/grub/menu.lst
Anyone know how i can get grub to look back at my original menu file on /dev/hda1 ??

I have seen a post on here once before with instructions but cannot find it anymore.. any help would be ppreciated.

grub-install /dev/hda1 ??

i would hope it is as simple as that i just dont want to messs it up.. playing with grub always scares me

in 10.1 u can config grub thru gui
yast2 -> system -> boot loader

i think that is what u want????

Axtually yeah that does sound about right.. Im not in SuSE at the moment but i will give this a go.
