how to capture VNC traffic and view it

Greetings,

I'm a newbie to Linux and just started using SuSE 9.1 Personal.
I have an SSH server running on my SuSE computer.
I also have desktop sharing enabled on the SuSE computer.

I am connecting to the SuSE computer from a windows computers via VNC.
Because of security issues, i now use SSH and tunnel the VNC traffic through it.
I've heard that without SSH, all traffic transmitted via VNC can be captured and viewed, including passwords. For my testing purposes I would like to know how to capture the data tansmitted via VNC and view it. What tools do i need to do this?

Then, i want to perform the same test but this time using SSH and tunneling VNC through it. If all works right, i shouldn't be able to capture any data transmitted when using SSH. Again, what tools do i need to perform this capturing of data and viewing it?

Thanks for your time,

*Nick*

have a look at ethereal, that'll do exactly what you want in a hundred different ways.
