Dear all ,
i just installed Suse 11 64bit and it's cool " till now " , but my problem that i can not add repository to yast and i do not want to add opensuse.org repositories only , i want add additional repositories that i can install amsn and xmms etc etc , but i do not know what is the best way that do not destroy the system , i find some links but all talk about Suse 10 and repositories to Suse 10 only . so any one know how to fix this problem ?
I think this last message should be at the top of the stickies as I believe that many repeated newbie questions could be answered by a search through the repositories.
thank you so much , it worked , i searched but i think i lost while searching , but this links you give to me to finished every thing . thank you again
In the yast2 inst_source configuration wizard, there is a item you can select to add community repositories. The videolan repo will give you a package to be able to play dvd's. The packman site has packages for media centric programs and libraries. For example, amarok and xmms will be able to play mp3s. The K3B backup program will rip a CD or DVD movie.
