Definitely try YaST2 first...
Hi -
I'm not sure what specific problems you're having (or even why you absolutely need to uninstall wine in the first place) ... but ...
1. If you haven't already done so, please go into the SuSE GUI "Yast2, Software, Add/Remove software", search for "wine", select "Delete", and try deleting it that way. Note any error messages or warnings.
2. Failing that, try:
rpm -qa|grep -i wine
<= THIS WILL TELL YOU THE EXACT NAMES OF YOUR "WINE" PACKAGE
rpm -e <WINE PKGNAME>
<= USE "RPM --ERASE" TO DELETE THE WINE PACKAGE
3. If both of these options fail, please make a new post to LQ, and cut/paste the errors/warnings you got.
'Hope that helps .. PSM
