How do I install an rpm

I am new to Linux and am wanting to install an rpm I downloaded from sourceforge.net. I used rpm -i but got a dependency error. Is there a way to tell YaST to install it? Will apt4rpm help me?

I am so new tnat i have no clue as to installing software and I am having trouble finding documentation to help me.

Thanks!
Harold

Whats the rpm you are trying to install? Usually it best to use your distributions package manager for software installation because any dependencies are automatically installed. Suse uses the YAST software module for package management.

You need to install openmotif-libs using the Software Management tool in YAST.
