How do I get Mplayer to play this radio station as a plug-in?

I finally got a bunch of stuff updated now that I have my Packman repository fixed. I can get Mplayer to play this radio station from the command prompt, but it still won't play it with the plug-in as it does for everybody else. It worked about 6 months ago, but something made it stop working, like maybe an automatic update, or who knows what it could be. I don't do that much to my system because it was already exactly the way I wanted it. MPlayer and all of my codecs are all up to date. It won't play videos off of yahoo, or anything at all anymore, unless I tell it to from the command line. Kaffeine and Xine seem to have taken over the plug-in responsibilites, when it is capable of that. Only MPlayer is able to play this radio station, but without the plug-in working, there is much content missing. Somebody else was able to play it with the plug-in, but he was using Mandrake and Firefox, which doesn't seem to be available for Suse. The version numbers are probably irrelevant when comparing distro applications. Where can I adjust the settings for which players handle various responsibilities?

Here is the URL for the radio station if it means anything.

Whenever Mplayer plug-in tries to play something, it takes over the screen, goes through some execution script, then just stops, showing a simple "Stopped" statement on its screen.

I have researched this issue and found a relatively small number of people (5-20) who have had this problem and inquired about it. I have only found one definite fix for it, aside from downgrading versions.

mplayerplug-in 3.30 will probably work on your machine if you add the following to ~/.mplayer/config

There is a bug in mplayerplug-in that is worked around by setting those two options. This will be fixed in the next release.

The thing about this fix is that I have the new release, 3.31, so according to this poster, it should be fixed. I went to /home/justin/.mplayer/config and looked at that file, only to find that it is completely empty. Does this sound odd?

You haven't given us any info about your version of Suse or Firefox.

I am on Suse 10.2, and Firefox My MPlayer is & mplayerplug-in is I left the Firefox settings in the Edit > Preferences > Content > Manage File Types set to the default.

The station at your link seems to be playing OK.

All of my versions are completely up-to-date, exactly the same as yours except for Suse. My Manage File Types is actually located in a different section, in Preferences>Downloads>View and Edit Actions. Some of the file types are still supposed to be used by MPlayer, probably the same layout as default, though now that I have updated a bunch of other codec packages, other media players are taking up the slack when they are capable of it. Still cannot get the radio to work, though, nor can I do anything with Yahoo news videos. That could be a lingering Flash update issue that I am going to look into, even though I already updated it to a Beta.

I probably just need to trash this whole system, the hardware and everything, and start all over with 10.2.
