How do i get External Monitor ONLY on suse 12.4

Hi there
after a bit of a disastrous @flirt@ with Windows 8.1 I'm back again to SUSE 12.4 on my Sony VAIO laptop

One thing I just can't seem to get right is how to switch to ONLY the external Monitor

I've connected an HDMI cable to it and the external Monitor is just fine - but I see the display on BOTH the laptop and external monitors -- this of course reduces the display to 1366 X 768 whne the Video card is capable of driving it at full 1080p display. Yast also shows this but I can't seem to disable the Laptop monitor.

(Sound only is heard on the laptops internal speakers too rather than going through the HDMI system --however I'm not bothered about that).

Any suggestions - greatfully accepted.

Thanks
-K

Hi there

Typo should be OPENSUSE 12.3 -- however fixed the problem.

Seems to be fine --- KDE 4 is brilliant too. BTW I found the answer it's in the DESKTOP CONFIGURATION settings,

Cheers
