How do i burn .iso files onto dvd
Hi everybody, this is actually my first post....hehe yeah...anyways...
I'm currently running a one year and six month old hp pavilion a250n with
P4 2.6 GHz
512 MB of RAM
a 100 GB Hard Drive
a dvd/cd writer
oh and a P4SD-LA MoBo w/onboard sound
and i'm on Red Hat 9, i just downloaded SUSE-Linux-9.2-FTP-DVD.iso (actual filename) from the ftp it is 2.0 GB and i was wondering:
a.) if i had to put a boot file in it (which i have also downloaded)
b.) how to do so/actually burn it to a dvd (like what to use and where to get it from)
c.) and currently i have no sound, will i have that same problem on SUSE?

use k3b under X or dvdrecord from the console!
example for dvd/cdcrecord:
/usr/local/bin/dvdrecord -v -dao -force fs=8m speed=1 dev=1,0,0 /dvd.iso

this is a live issue for me - I've got SuSE 9.0 Pro dual boot with Win XP - was looking to upgrade to 9.2.
I've downloaded the 3.1Gb ISO image and used k3b to burn it to DVD. Seemingly no problem there - however - it won't boot following an init 6 - what have I omitted/done wrong??

no longer a live issue - should have burnt an image, not just copied the ISO file directly to DVD.
Now composing this reply from within Konqueror on KDE on 9.2 Pro
