hahaha I'll begin my post with a short description of my problem.. of course!

I have a Linksys wireless network adapter (WMP54GS) and I want to be able to use it
on Linux. I have Windows XP in a dual boot config, so it's not a big deal to access this
forum. I've tried Fedora core 6, followed the instructions given on the Ndiswrapper
wiki website, but nothing worked... SO I've decided to give a try to Fedora core 5, as
it was older than Core 6 and my though was => older = more users.... so more support.
The best I've achieved on Core 5 was to install ndiswrapper, my windows driver, and
when I typed iwlist wlan0 scan, my router was detected, but I had no internet connectivity
at all....

Finally I decided to try a new linux distro => Suse 10.1. My problems were diminished

I've downloaded Suse 10.1, and followed the instructions to the letter on this tutorial, but
when I've rebooted my system in suse, the NetworkManager was unable to connect ........

I'm using WPA 128Bit as an encryption, and we are sharing the same key where I'm living...
My network adapter is a Linksys WMP54GS (Broadcom BCM4318 chipset) and I'm wondering why it's
not working... When I boot my suse OS, the NetworkManager is trying to connect (small gear symbol
in the system tray), and after 30 seconds, the networkmanager tell me that he is disconnected...

What's wrong???

Go to the NetworkManager and do a disable or off or down and then to an enable or up.

If that does not work, turn off the router, wait a few seconds or a minute and turn it back on. When it is done and it is ready, do the first thing again.

You can also try and go to a terminal and su to be root and do a ifconfig -a. Check and see if the IP address is what it should be. Do a ifdown (device) then do a ifup (device).
