Hi,

New to using heartbeat. In the (oldish) documentation I've read in linux-mag.com it talks of using a serial cable to connect the two machines that are in the cluster for IP failover. Due to the two machines being in different computer rooms, though in the same site, it is not really possible to have a serial cable connection between them. I'm wondering if I have just one NIC in each Server configured will that still work? Or is there something extra that the serial cable does that cannot be replicated by an NIC?
