d00d, 1337 h4xX0rZ! You got it. Then you should rerun grub so that it overwrites the MBR (if you have grub there) and the new grub should look for the kernel image on hd1,1 (= hdb2) and boot it, and since you changed fstab and mtab the kernel will mount the root partition on hdb2.

That should work out fine, I hope.

Well I changed all the hd0 entries to hd1 , hda2 and hda1 to hdb2 and resp. hdb1 in the file menu.lst . I also changed hd0 to hd1 in grub.conf as talked above . Now when I try to boot it says :
"Cannot find /boot/message , Presws any key to continue" so it doesn't give the nice graphics where I usually chose between Linux and Falsafe , instead, after I press any key it gives me an ugly graphics from which I can choose between Linux and Failsafe , but afterwards it says :

"Booting Linux
kernel (hd1,1)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hdb2 vga=0x31a splash =silent desktop resume=/dev/hdb1 showopts
Error 17: Cannot mount selected partition
Press any key to continue ...
"
So I guess there's still smth. to modify , but what ?

What was hda1? Is hdb1 the same as hda1 once was? Maybe that's your problem. About the "cannot find /boot/message" you should check if there is a /boot/message anywhere on the partition. Can you please post menu.lst.

hda1 was the swap so hdb1 is the swap now.

This was menu.lst before I modified it :
"
color white /blue black/light-gray
default 0
timeout 8
gfxmenu (hd0,1)/boot/message
###Don't change this comment - Yast2 identifier : Original name: linux###

initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd
###Don't change this comment - Yast2 identifier : Original name: failsafe###

initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd
"
But I still didn't run grub to modify my MBR; maybe that's my problem . So how do I run Grub ?

This guide should give you more info about grub:
http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub.html

You should just need to run:
grub-install /dev/hdb
