Grub prompt usually appears when there was a loader like LILO and then you removed the OS completely. The loader now does not have an OS to point to on rebooting.
However, in your case it's different as you say that you've installed SUSE. I encountered this prompt when I removed a red hat to install FC2 and it worked fine after that.
If you had another OS installed earlier on, then it probably has the old master boot record (MBR) lying around. You could try executing "format /mbr" at the Grub prompt and rebooting.
