GoogleEarth and SuSE10.1

Hi,
I have GoogleEarth installed on my SuSE 10.1 system since the beginning. But now, after some upgrading I cant start it anymore. I removed the package from the system and downloaded it again and setup went fine, without problems. When I start the application it stops when initializing. Any idea how to solve the problem?

Try opening a shell and typing "googleearth". It should open, or if it does not it should give you some information as to why it dies silently.

Good luck.

Before GoogleEarth works under Linux you need openGL. What Graphic Card are you using, and have you Install the latest driver?

My graphyc card is ATI Radeon 9700. I have the latest ATI driver installed but right now I see that open Gl is Mesa. Anyhow it worked before with Mesa too, only a little bit slower.
As I said, when opening a shell and typing "googleearth" I got the initializing window (GoogleEarth) and that is all. It stops there.
