Hi,
I am running Suse 9.0 on a HP 733 celeron with 191 megs of Ram. I would like to try the Gnome interface. I presently have version 2.2.2 on the machine along with KDE 3.1. Those were the defaults that shipped with Suse 9.0. I would like to attempt to get a newer version of Gnome to try out. I understand the present version is 2.8. The questions I have are as follows. Is my machine to slow to handle a newer version ? Is there a version out for Suse? Is it possible to update the present install thru yast and if so, how would I go about accomplishing that task?I have
never gotten a firm hand on how to add an installation source in yast, as far as entering the correct information in the pop up boxes. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Download the packages from there into a directory and as root type into console:

rpm -Uvh *.rpm

I don't use gnome. I'm not sure which ones are required.
