Glipper and 10.2

I am trying to install Glipper on Suse 10.2 from the tarball. When I issue the ./configure command, I get this error message.

checking for GDU_MODULE_VERSION_CHECK... configure: error: Package requirements (gnome-doc-utils >= 0.3.2) were not met:

No package 'gnome-doc-utils' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GDU_MODULE_VERSION_CHECK_CFLAGS
and GDU_MODULE_VERSION_CHECK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

yet, gnome-doc-utils is installed on my system.

How can i work around this?

You need to install the gnome-doc-utils devel package.
