Red face getty segmentation fault

I have problems with getty (gettyps) under SuSE9.3 (kernel 2.6.11.4-2.10

I have activated any (possible not existing) tty-line, but getty crashes with segmentation fault, see below:
I have inserted in inittab:
...
#Test for Getty(gettyps)
S0:12345:respawn:/sbin/getty -d010 ttyS0 9600[/INDENT]
... and i got in /var/log/warn:
Feb 6 17:56:53 turtle getty[7793]: Segmentation fault

The same behavior i got, if i called getty directly from Commandline.
What has happened? who can help

Holger
