Getting Back To Where I Came From With a Photo Gallery

I am entering a DigiKam gallery from an .shtml index file.

The problem is that the DigiKam gallery wants to return me to an index.html file, which isn't there.

I can change the DigiKam HTML, but that means editing one html file for every photo.

I'm looking for a way to allow DigiKam to operate naturally, but persuade the server to deal up index.shtml instead.

I've tried URL redirection in an index.html file, but that just seems to confuse the server, which displays the index.html code instead of redirecting.

The only other thing I can think of is to stop using .shtml files and use XBit to include headers instead.

Does anyone have any ideas, please ?

Yeah you can do that, but the average user is not gonna figure it LOL

I went with ditching the .shtml method and switching to the XBitHack method and setting the Executable bit on the .html files

That works. http://www.lameschmillen.com
