Garbled Firefox menu in Suse 9.3

After clean installation of Suse 9.3 on two independent systems, Firefox is more or less not usable. This is because the menu is not iconized and the text is garbled. How can this be fixed? Reinstallation did nothing.

Are you using version 1.0.1 that came with Suse 9.3?

You did an upgrade didnt you?
The reason for your garble is cause of the old firefox profile in your home directory...you can remove it manually import over the stuff hat you need, like bookmarks.xml

path to the firefox directoty is /home/<login>/.mozilla/firefox/<profile> it should be straightforward as to what you need to keep and what you dont.

Thanks, that fixed the issue. It wasn't an upgrade. I performed a clean install and realize I'd copied my entire /home from my 9.2 install, old profile and all.
