Question functional elements not opening after reboot in Alsa v1.0.13 problem

Dear friends,
I am working in a ATI RS485M chipset based motherboard having ALC883 as a audio controller.
I loaded SUSE 10.0, kernel version : 2.6.8. It doesnt have a default sound driver. Then I loaded ALSA 1.0.13. After loading the driver and reboot of first time i have not faced any issues.
After the second reboot I cannot open the functional elements like alsamixer and volume control.
The Error coming is " Cannot load snd_mixer-Invalid argument"
Please help me to resolve this issue.

with regards
