Cool FTP SuSE 9.2

Hi all,
I just wanted to say after installing and running SuSE 9.2 for just two days, it is clearly superior to my SuSe 9.0 pro..I was hesitant to install it because Novell bought them out and I thought they(Novell) would muck it up..Not so...
The install while somewhat slower than from CD's or DVD's went perfectly..I must have had a good mirror i guess..
I was thrilled with the latest offering from Mandrake but i think Suse tops it ..The only part where MDK exceeds is the multimedia players(specifically Totem and Kaffene)..MDK will play DVD's out of the box where as SuSE needs codecs..I'll have to look into that one..
Adding and removing programs from the web could not have been easier (usually a hassle for me)..
I updated with all i needed including the Nvidia drivers..
All I can say is NICE!!!
Thanks for reading this post,Goodluck,
jolphil

For DVD playing, follow the instructions here.
For the steps that just say install ____.rpm, use rpm -i ____.rpm since they didn't say that it is the -i to install it.

It is a little easier with the sources from packman http://packman.links2linux.de/ and even easier if you add a packman server to the installation sources of Yast:

Change source of installation -> Add -> HTTP
server: packman.iu-bremen.de
directory: suse/9.2

I think if you install mplayer from this source, you will have all codecs available. Otherwise you'll need to install w32codecs. Also you'll need to deinstall the SuSE version of Xine and replace it by the packman version.
