boot up in to single user mode or recovery mode (runlevel 1) and you can reset the password, unless suse messed up that option...

Login Issue

Somehow, as hard as this may be to believe, but during the installation I was not asked to input a user name nor a password for root. I've never had anything like that occurr with any other distro (well, except with Vector) and I do not have any idea where to go. I've "successfully" installed Suse 10.1 but have no way of logging into it. Any help would be appreciated.

did you try to reset the password by booting up in runlevel 1

boot up in runlevel 1 and type in passwd and enter a new password
