Question Firefox/RealPlayer8 sometimes works sometimes doesn't

I am running SuSE 9.1 Personal with Firefox 1.0 and Real Player 8 . Being a music fan I love to go to music websites like cdnow.com to listen to clips of different songs.
I always click on the links for the Real Player format instead of Windows Media (I am still struggling with mplayer and xine plugins, but that's another thread
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, it's about 50/50. Half the time I click on a link to play a song Real Player plays the song just fine. Other times Real Player loads but then just closes after 2 seconds and never plays anything.
A few months ago I was running Fedora Core 2 and xine did this same thing. Sometimes it would play a Windows Media clips perfectly other times it would just shut down, no error messages or anything.

Does this happen to anyone else?
