Firefox problems... cant use formularies (send mails, use forums..)
Hi,
Actually i cant even enter hotmail, gmail doesnt let my send mails (allows me to view, and compose, but not to send them) and other mail accounts with other services i have dont work either... I thought it was Firefox's fault, as when i installed SUSE, it was version 0.8, i runned the System Update, and updated it to 0.9.3 and here i'm, with the same problem... also, im "Triple-Booting", i have Arch Linux (ive been using it for over a year and a half now), and WinXP Pro... The problem is, that i was getting tyred of some issues in Arch, and wanted to try something different.. more stable and " popular" so to speak... Ive used MDK, Slack, Arch, the last few years, and now, SuSE. In Arch i was having the same issue, that was the thing that finally made me make the move to another distro.. to find out, it was not Arch's fault!!!! Firefox is running with the Java, Flash, and PDF plugins... and they are working alright i think... Also, i checked the options about javascript in my preferences in Firefox, and they are ok, all checked. Last but not least, i found out, i cannot start Firefox as Root in SUSE, here is the error: Code:
linux:/home/crow # firefox I checked XF86Config just in case, and its set ok, as its working, this is the only part of the file i can think of being related. Code:
Section "Device" Hope someone has a gooood guess on this... im going nuts this days.. have to check mails through windows is a pain in the butt. I really dont know whats going on, i cant use formularies it seems.. or send them... i dont know.. but it has something to do with that i guess. I didnt had this problem in Arch until a couple of weeks when i runned a full system update after a month or so, of not doing it --got broadband, and made a full system update for the firs time--, but with SUSE, i made a clean install, even a _new_ home partition, everything 100% fresh, even the Swap. Please... help  |
Are you able to do these things in konqueror?
