Ive been a linux user for two years now and ive never dual booted two linux distros only windows and linux (unfortunatley ^_^) anway will suse detect my fc3 and automatically write it to the grub config? Or will i have to manually configure it?
Probably not, but it is very easy to integrate it yourself. Just to get you right: you have a dual-boot with FC3 and Windows. And you use grub?
When you install SuSE, do not write grub into the mbr, as Yast will suggest! Write it on a floppy. Now boot into SUSE using your floppy and copy the entry from SUSE's /boot/grub/menu.lst into FC3's grub.conf (I guess FC3 does not have menu.lst).
You mean FTP installation? I have not much experience with the automatic installation (from the grub screen), but from manual installation, you need to take care that the path on the server does not start with a slash and ends up in the directory '9.2'. Also, do not use ftp.suse.com. This server has a high load and only accepts a limited amount of connections. Choose a mirror from this list: http://www.novell.com/products/linux...t_mirrors.html
