Question External Monitor Question

Greetings All!

I just connected a 24" LCD monitor to my HP Mini Netbook. It works wonderfully compared to the small ten inch screen.

The Problem? All be it very minor, the small display does not shut off while the large display is in use. I am a former user of Open Mandriva and there you could turn off the unwanted screen. Configure desktop gives not much other than to adjust screen rez, not an issue. Yast, in hardware just gives monitor information of both monitors.

Any ideas?

Look in your laptop manual. There will be a key combination for that. On my acer it is Fn + F5 to switch between internal and external screes, Fn + F6 to turn laptop screen on and off
