Angry Every DVD Player Fails to Play DVD Movie in SuSE 9.2 Pro....Please Help ! ! !

hi, guys, i am again back with a new problem and i hope like every time you direct me to the right path.

Well, i am extremely dumbfounded since in SuSE box there are 4 to 5 different DVD Movie players such as Totem, Xine, Kaffeine etc. But none of them play DVD Movie. Well, i am not that expert to sort this poblem out myself completely. But i have so much fond of watching movies on DVD. so please guys, direct me how can i make atleast one DVD player application in SuSE 9.2 Pro Box enabled to play DVD. movie. i will be highly thankful to you like i did every time.

Thanks & Regards.

De-install them all (since the versions that come with original SUSE are all restricted to unencrypted DVD's only) and install any version that you can get here: http://packman.links2linux.org/
(MPlayer or Xine-lib/Kaffeine)

The above server is also a valid Yast source, so you can add packman.iu-bremen.de to the Yast installation sources (Change Source of Installation) and install the software from within Yast. (protocol: HTTP, directory: suse/9.2)

You have to search the web for:

libdvdcss-1.2.8-1.i586.rpm
libxine1-1_rc6a-0.pm.0.i686.rpm

& if you want to

w32codec-all-20040916-0.pm.0.i386.rpm
(all the movie codecs you need)

Install them using YAST and you can watch movies in Xine

Put your DVD Player in DMA mode for smooth playback.

Contact me if you can't find the rpms
