eval suse 10 simple stupid update question
very simple,
I understand that the eval version is missing some commercial packages. that's fine. the big question is: if I download the "eval" version of suse (instead of downloading from opensuse), will it ask for a password when I try an online update? am I being to microsoftish? |
No, you won't be asked for a password so you can update to your heart's content!!!!!
|
thanks :)

So what is the limitation on the evaluation version? Time limit? Or just that you will have to download and install missing packages?
|
To my knowledge, the only difference between the eval version and the boxed retail set is that the latter has some non-free (in both senses) software, and the included installation support & manuals. Other than that, they're identical (no time limits, etc).

Thanks Luke.
