Error message Cannot start ZMD: Starting ZenWorks Management Daemon
 

Hello

When I got to Suse 10.1 Novell Customer Center Configuration
I kept getting this error message ... Has anybody seem this error message

(1)Cannot start zmd: Starting ZENworks Management Daemon..done
Checking for ZENworks Management Daemon: ..dead

This distro was pushed out with a dud package management system. Zenworks in the enterprise works brilliantly, but this was a cock up.

If you take a look at the opensuse.com website under the download sections, there are several remedies. I ended up using the SMART package manager, but you may find the other ways work ok as well. I hope this helps!
