Error installing and compiling
When i try to compile and install from the terminal i always get this end error:
"checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!" How do i correct this??? Im a complete newbie so please be patient!! |
Install the package xorg-x11-devel, this contains the X-includes for your system.

I downloaded the rpm but yast wont let me install!!
There appears to be some missing things! How do i fix it? |
Maybe the package you downloaded is not made for SUSE 9.2
The easiest way to install software that is not on your CD is via direct FTP installation. Have a look here for instructions: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=266647 Dependencies should be solved automatically. For additional sources (not supported by the default distribution) have a look in the sticky thread about YaST update sources. But xorg-x11-devel (or xfree86-devel, if you are using this X server) comes from standard sources. |
